GCS Malta is seeking to recruit a Mobile App Developer to join one of Malta’s leading tech companies.
Responsibilities
- Designing, building, and maintaining iOS/Android applications
- Developing reusable UI components and libraries
- Translating requirements and designs into functional features
- Integrating apps with APIs and third-party services
- Debugging and optimizing performance, memory, and UI issues
- Collaborating with product, design, and backend teams
- Implementing tests and ensuring code quality
- Preparing builds and publishing to App Store/Google Play
- Monitoring app performance and user feedback
- Staying updated on mobile trends and new technologies
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or possess equivalent practical experience, with proven experience as a Mobile Developer and a portfolio of successfully released applications considered a strong asset.
Proficiency in native iOS (Swift/Objective-C), native Android (Kotlin/Java), or cross-platform frameworks (React Native/Flutter), with strong knowledge of mobile app lifecycle, architecture, and design patterns. Experience with Git, cloud messaging, push notifications, modern UI/UX principles, and third-party libraries/APIs.
Strong problem-solving, analytical and critical-thinking, with excellent communication and collaboration abilities are essential.
