Semi-Senior Auditor

GCS Malta is seeking to recruit a Semi-Senior Auditor to join one of Malta’s leading accounting firms.

 

Responsibilities

• Assisting with planning, execution, and finalization of audit engagements
• Interacting with clients to gather necessary data for audits
• Performing detailed audit procedures, including control testing, substantive testing, analytical reviews, and preparing working papers
• Identifying and documenting internal control weaknesses and business process improvements
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Completing audit working papers and accurately documenting tests and findings
• Supporting audit managers and seniors, updating them on progress, and flagging issues
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with GAPSME and IFRS standards
• Mentoring junior auditors and trainees, assisting with audit testing and documentation

 

The ideal candidate should be ACCA qualified or nearing completion of the qualification, with a minimum of two years of relevant auditing experience considered an asset.

The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of current auditing techniques and be familiar with GAPSME, IFRS, and International Auditing Standards. Strong organizational, teamwork, and communication skills, along with high attention to detail, are highly desirable.

Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential, as well as proficiency in using Microsoft office applications.
