Junior Quality Engineer

GCS Malta is looking for a Junior Quality Engineer to work with one of Malta's leading technology companies.
 

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Quality team and assisting the Quality Engineering Manager with improvement initiatives.
• Participating in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities, including job planning, closure, and updating Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEAs).
• Driving process and product improvements using data analysis and quality tools.
• Assisting with customer complaints and promoting a zero-defects approach.
• Analyzing statistical data to reduce costs and support quality control systems.
• Helping with new machinery qualification and audit planning.
• Leading quality teams and supporting floor management standards.
• Providing expertise to divisional leadership while following governance and safety policies.

The selected candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent, whilst experience in a quality related function would be preferred. 

The candidate must have a strong understanding of good manufacturing practices and lean processes, together with proven competence in project management.

Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
