GCS Malta is seeking a Life & Health Underwriter to work with one of Malta’s leading insurance group of companies.
The ideal candidate holds a Certificate in Insurance or equivalent, whilst a minimum of 1 year’ experience in life or medical underwriting is considered an asset.
This role requires a strong knowledge of local insurance regulations, along with excellent analytical, decision-making, and organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail.
Fluency in English language is considered a must.

Responsibilities
- Evaluating insurance applications and assessing risk profiles
- Applying underwriting guidelines and issuing decisions accurately
- Maintaining records and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Supporting underwriting strategies using market and claims data
- Collaborating with sales, operations, and claims teams
- Providing training and support to intermediaries and stakeholders
- Communicating decisions clearly and monitoring underwriting KPIs
- Contributing to process improvements and ensuring quality and profitability of decisions
