GCS Malta is seeking a Works Manager to work with one of Malta's leading construction companies. 
 

Responsibilities

• Setting up sites and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
• Maintaining daily Site Diaries and reporting progress to managers
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and authorities
• Attending commercial and progress meetings
• Supporting tender preparation and method statements
• Preparing bending schedules, formwork, and drawing registers
• Implementing Health & Safety policies and executing works per risk assessments
• Supervising and motivating employees and subcontractors, monitoring overtime and productivity
• Managing plant, equipment, and machinery, ensuring safety and proper use
• Scheduling materials, tracking usage, minimizing waste, and ensuring quality
• Controlling costs, monitoring budgets, and assisting with measurements and payment applications
• Ensuring work meets technical specifications and quality standards, organizing corrective actions
• Reporting issues, accidents, and updates promptly while maintaining logs and attendance sheets

The ideal candidate must have proven experience in construction or project management, preferably in a supervisory role. 

One should have strong knowledge of building processes, materials, and construction techniques, with proven experience in planning, scheduling, and coordinating multiple projects. 

Ideally, be familiar with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site and possess the ability to manage teams, motivate staff, and supervise subcontractors effectively.
