GCS Malta is seeking a Civil Works Foreman to work with one of Malta's leading construction companies. 
 

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and tracking materials, submitting requisitions, and ensuring proper usage to minimize waste
• Verifying material quality, quantity, and suitability on delivery and countersigning delivery/issue notes
• Conducting material reconciliations and returning leftover or recyclable materials to stores
• Supervising employees and subcontractors, motivating staff, monitoring productivity, and controlling overtime
• Enforcing health and safety policies and ensuring compliance with local regulations
• Planning, scheduling, and overseeing the use of plant, equipment, and tools, ensuring safety and proper maintenance
• Maintaining control of tools, reporting damage or loss, and attending reconciliation meetings
• Monitoring site costs, minimizing wastage, and supporting measurements and payment applications
• Ensuring work meets project specifications and quality standards, supervising construction, and organizing corrective actions
• Maintaining daily logs, time sheets, and reporting progress, issues, accidents, or injuries to the Works Manager

The ideal candidate must have proven experience in civil construction or site supervision. 

One must have strong knowledge of building processes, materials, and construction techniques, with proven experience in planning, scheduling, and coordinating multiple projects. This role requires the capability of supervising, motivating, and managing teams and subcontractors, while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites. 

Additionally, one must possess expertise in quality control, project specification adherence, and the effective management of materials, plant, and equipment.
