GCS Malta is seeking to recruit an IT Support Officer to join one of Malta’s.
 

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and supporting IT systems, networks, and infrastructure
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, and endpoint issues
  • Managing system backups and ensuring data integrity
  • Implementing and enforcing IT security measures, including antivirus, patching, and access controls
  • Providing first- and second-line technical support and escalating issues when required
  • Administering user accounts, permissions, and system access
  • Performing routine system maintenance, updates, and security patches
  • Tracking and managing IT assets, software, and license compliance
  • Supporting IT projects such as upgrades, migrations, and new system deployments
  • Coordinating with external vendors and service providers
  • Preparing and maintaining IT documentation, procedures, and system records

The chosen candidate must have a Diploma in Information Technology, whilst at least 2 years’ experience in an IT Support function is considered an asset. 

One must have strong experience working in a Windows-based environment, a solid understanding of core networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and Wi-Fi, and the ability to troubleshoot issues methodically while communicating solutions clearly to non-technical users.
