GCS Malta is looking for an Audit Manager to work with a local assurance firm.
Applicants should be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent) and either hold, or be in the process of obtaining, a CPA warrant and Practicing Certificate in Auditing. A minimum of four years of audit experience is preferred.
The role requires strong working knowledge of f ISAs, IFRS and GAPSME. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership and team management skills, strong commercial awareness, and confidence in client-facing roles. One should demonstrate excellent technical competence, analytical thinking, and the ability to work proactively and in an organised, solutions-driven manner.
One must be able to perform effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines, and possessing strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
- Managing, reviewing, and leading audit engagements from planning to completion.
- Leading and performing complex audit assignments, including preparing and reviewing financial statements.
- Developing and reviewing audit strategies, risk assessments, and audit plans.
- Ensuring compliance with IFRS, GAPSME, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Conducting detailed technical reviews of working papers prior to Principal review.
- Managing client portfolios and acting as primary point of contact.
- Overseeing engagement budgeting, timelines, and team allocation.
- Identifying and resolving audit risks and accounting technical issues.
- Providing mentorship, guidance, and on-the-job training to team members.
- Coordinating with other service lines to ensure seamless service delivery.
