GCS Malta is looking for a Senior Payroll Executive to work with one of Malta’s leading building services companies.
The ideal candidate should hold a diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with substantial payroll experience in medium to large organizations considered an advantage.
This role requires hands-on experience and strong working knowledge of Talexio, with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability. Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to clearly explain payroll matters to both employees and management.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications is essential.

GCS Malta is looking for a Senior Payroll Executive to work with one of Malta’s leading building services companies.
Responsibilities
- Managing end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Calculating wages, overtime, allowances, bonuses, leave, and other pay elements.
- Acting as payroll specialist, advising HR, Finance, managers, and employees.
- Handling statutory deductions, benefits, and authorized payroll deductions.
- Overseeing payroll reporting, reconciliations, audits, and financial summaries.
- Managing complex payroll queries, escalations, and sensitive matters.
- Maintaining payroll system (Talexio) accuracy and improving processes.
- Ensuring compliance with Maltese employment law, tax, SSC contributions, and statutory obligations.
- Identifying risks, inefficiencies, and compliance gaps, proposing solutions.
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members.
- Collaborating with HR and Finance to align payroll with policies and business objectives.
