GCS Malta is hiring a Cloud Engineer to join one of Malta’s leading financial institutions.
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, together with relevant cloud computing certifications. A minimum of 4–5 years’ experience in IT support with a strong focus on cloud technologies is required, while experience within a credit institution or the wider financial services sector is considered an asset.
The candidate should have experience with AWS and Azure, Microsoft 365 and Intune, Atlassian tools, and Terraform. They must be skilled in Windows and Linux server administration and have a solid understanding of networking, including DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewalls.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to handle complex cloud environments.

Responsibilities
- Designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure (OCI as an asset).
- Managing Microsoft 365, Intune, and enterprise applications.
- Supporting Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Administering Windows and Linux server environments.
- Troubleshooting cloud and network issues (VPCs, VPNs, firewalls).
- Implementing IAM and security compliance controls.
- Supporting cloud migrations and automation pipelines.
- Maintaining documentation and disaster recovery standards.
- Ensuring compliance with banking and regulatory requirements.
