Senior / Audit Executive – Audit & Assurance

GCS Malta is seeking a Senior Audit / Audit Executive to join one of Malta’s leading financial companies. 
 

Responsibilities

• Reporting directly to Audit Directors, Partners, or Managers.
• Managing a portfolio of clients across various industries.
• Ensuring assignments are completed within budget, time, and resource requirements.
• Briefing and overseeing staff on assignments, providing on-the-job training, and liaising with senior client staff to ensure project completion as agreed.
• Ensuring assignments adhere to the firm's standard procedures.
• Identifying and resolving key audit issues and contentious items in consultation with the client.
• Attending and presenting findings at client audit committees and board meetings.
• Actively participating in recruitment and mentoring of junior staff.

The ideal candidate should hold a university qualification or a recognized certification, such as ACCA, with a preference for those holding a warrant. 3-5 years of experience in external audit is considered an advantage.

This role requires an individual with in-depth knowledge of IFRS and ISA, along with a strong background and experience in audit methodologies and techniques.

Strong time management, organizational and communication skills are essential.
