GCS Malta is looking for a Chemical Lead to work with one of Malta's leading printing companies.
 

Responsibilities

• Managing prepress operations, focusing on printing press service and platemaking requirements
• Driving process improvements, Lean initiatives, and team integration
• Overseeing laboratory and chemical operations, ensuring compliance with Bank of England standards
• Training operatives in chemical and prepress processes
• Maintaining SOPs, FMEAs, control plans, and QCPs, including retraining
• Collaborating across teams and sharing best practices
• Supporting divisional strategy and providing subject matter expertise for decision-making
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, governance, and health & safety standards

The ideal candidate should have a degree or postgraduate qualification. A Chemistry O' Level or experience in laboratory analysis would be considered an advantage.

This role requires experience in security printers and in planning or production. The candidate should have technical aptitude, quality assurance and problem-solving skills, experience in continuous improvement and people management, and strong report writing and presentation abilities.

An analytical mindset and attention to detail are essential.
