GCS Malta is looking for a Commercial Manager to work with a leading company in Malta, specializing in the importation of tobacco, cigarettes, vapes etc. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and optimizing end-to-end distribution processes, including imports, stock, and product flow, while monitoring performance and preventing out-of-stock situations 
  • Managing orders, warehousing, compliance processes, and new product launches in coordination with partners 
  • Developing and implementing product care processes with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers 
  • Identifying and supporting new direct retail locations and monitoring performance against KPIs 
  • Supporting indirect retail and key account management, including partner relationships, visibility agreements, and promotional execution 
  • Monitoring sales and operational KPIs, identifying trends, and driving corrective actions 
  • Coordinating consumer engagement activities and supporting promotional initiatives 
  • Activating B2B2C channels and optimizing commercial investments within budget 
  • Leading and coordinating commercial back-office and field teams, in alignment with senior management objectives 

The ideal candidate should be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Marketing, Business Management or Finance, whilst a minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales and commercial roles is considered an asset – FMCG experience is preferred.
 
Sound understanding of sales strategies and market trends is essential within this role, along with excellent organizational, communication and teamwork skills. 

Fluency in English is required, while Maltese is considered a strong advantage; knowledge of other European languages is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential, and a valid driving licence is required.
