GCS Malta is looking for a Legal Officer – International Relations to work with a local public agency.
 

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and analysing AML/CFT legislative developments and their impact 
  • Drafting and maintaining Memoranda of Understanding with international counterparts 
  • Coordinating meetings and preparing related documentation and follow-ups 
  • Assisting with queries, evaluations, and regulatory assessments 
  • Representing the organisation in international forums and working groups 
  • Supporting implementation of AML/CFT standards and assisting internal teams 
  • Performing additional duties as required 

The ideal candidate must be in possession of an MQF Level 6 qualification in International Relations, European Studies, Law or a relevant subject, whilst a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is considered an asset. 

A sound understanding of Maltese laws on the prevention of money laundering and the financing of terrorism, as well as relevant EU legislation and international standards in the field.

Excellent analytical, research, and presentation skills are required, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
