GCS Malta is looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to work with one of Malta's leading technology companies.
The selected candidate should hold a tertiary qualification in engineering or finance, with experience working in a data-driven environment such as manufacturing or logistics considered an advantage.
One should have an inquisitive mindset, strong analytical and financial modelling skills, and excellent attention to detail, with a focus on driving efficiency and simplifying processes. Applicants should be able to work collaboratively across teams, communicate effectively to different audiences, and have a sound understanding of ERP systems and data structures, along with experience managing direct reports.
Fluency in English is required, along with proficiency in using Microsoft office applications.

Responsibilities
- Supporting traceability systems within manufacturing processes
- Calculating and validating product costing with operations to ensure effective pricing
- Maintaining structured data management and facilitating information flow across departments
- Developing analytical models and improving reporting through automation and efficiency
- Using data analytics to support decision-making and prioritize improvement initiatives
- Participating in operational meetings and ensuring financial impacts are captured and communicated
- Collaborating with operations on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, including frequent forecasting cycles
- Presenting weekly KPIs and performance insights to management
- Overseeing cycle counts and inventory control processes
- Ensuring timely month-end close for manufacturing and inventory activities
- Maintaining compliance with SOX controls and ensuring accurate balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting additional tasks as required to meet business needs
