Senior Cost Accountant

GCS Malta is looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to work with one of Malta's leading technology companies.
 

Responsibilities

• Supporting traceability systems within manufacturing processes 
• Calculating and validating product costing with operations to ensure effective pricing 
• Maintaining structured data management and facilitating information flow across departments 
• Developing analytical models and improving reporting through automation and efficiency 
• Using data analytics to support decision-making and prioritize improvement initiatives 
• Participating in operational meetings and ensuring financial impacts are captured and communicated 
• Collaborating with operations on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, including frequent forecasting cycles 
• Presenting weekly KPIs and performance insights to management 
• Overseeing cycle counts and inventory control processes 
• Ensuring timely month-end close for manufacturing and inventory activities 
• Maintaining compliance with SOX controls and ensuring accurate balance sheet reconciliations 
• Supporting additional tasks as required to meet business needs 

The selected candidate should hold a tertiary qualification in engineering or finance, with experience working in a data-driven environment such as manufacturing or logistics considered an advantage.

One should have an inquisitive mindset, strong analytical and financial modelling skills, and excellent attention to detail, with a focus on driving efficiency and simplifying processes. Applicants should be able to work collaboratively across teams, communicate effectively to different audiences, and have a sound understanding of ERP systems and data structures, along with experience managing direct reports.

Fluency in English is required, along with proficiency in using Microsoft office applications.
