GCS Malta is seeking to recruit a Practitioner – Financial Services & Fintech to work with a leading multi-disciplinary law firm in Malta.
The ideal candidate should be a qualified lawyer or other senior practitioner with experience in financial services and fintech.
This role requires a strong understanding of Maltese and EU financial services legislation, including familiarity with MiCA, DORA, PSD2/PSD3, EMD, MiFID II, and related frameworks. Experience liaising with regulatory authorities, particularly the MFSA and FIAU, is essential.
Strong analytical, drafting, and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team.

GCS Malta is seeking to recruit a Practitioner – Financial Services & Fintech to work with a leading multi-disciplinary law firm in Malta.
Responsibilities
- Advising on legal and regulatory matters relating to fintech, digital assets, and emerging technologies, including MiCA, CASP licensing, crypto-asset issuance, stablecoins, and blockchain infrastructures
- Structuring and supporting the launch of fintech and digital asset projects within the EU regulatory framework
- Advising on financial services regulation, including MFSA licensing, compliance, governance, and supervisory requirements for EMIs, PSPs, and CASPs
- Drafting and reviewing regulatory documentation, policies, manuals, and internal control frameworks
- Acting as a primary point of contact for clients in fintech, crypto, and regulated financial services sectors
- Supporting business development and growth of the firm’s fintech client base
- Participating in industry events, regulatory consultations, and relevant initiatives
- Contributing to thought leadership through articles, seminars, webinars, and guidance materials
