GCS Malta is looking to for an HSE Engineer to join one of the leading FMCG companies operating in Malta.
The ideal candidate should possess a NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety certification and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, with at least 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in the food industry is preferred.
This role requires a solid understanding of Maltese OHSA, REWS, and ERA regulations, together with demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and asset management systems.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities
- Planning and overseeing preventive/corrective maintenance
- Implementing and managing Maintenance IT system
- Maximizing plant uptime and efficiency
- Managing contractors and service providers
- Controlling maintenance budgets and CAPEX projects
- Supporting production process improvements
- Ensuring engineering compliance with food safety/hygiene
- Ensuring OHSA and environmental regulation compliance
- Supporting HACCP, BRC/IFS food safety standards
- Developing/updating risk assessments and safe work systems
- Leading accident investigations and corrective actions
- Promoting safety culture across departments
- Monitoring waste, water, emissions, and sustainability
- Maintaining environmental records and permits
- Driving environmental improvements and energy efficiency
