Supply Chain Officer

GCS Malta is seeking a Supply Chain Officer to work with an international pharmaceutical company. 
 

Responsibilities

• Leading procurement strategy, including budget control, sourcing initiatives, and supplier performance management 
• Managing supplier lifecycle processes, including sourcing, qualification, contracting, and relationship management 
• Ensuring accurate and compliant procurement operations, including ERP master data, purchase requisitions, and order processing (MRP and manual) 
• Coordinating non-stock purchase orders across departments in line with business requirements 
• Aligning with internal stakeholders to support supply planning and supplier coordination 
• Managing import processes and resolving supply issues, including returns and deviations 
• Leading audit readiness and ensuring compliance with GMP and Quality Management System requirements 
• Monitoring and improving procurement processes to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency

The ideal candidate must hold an MQF Level 6 or MQF Level 5 qualification, supported by relevant experience in the supply chain sector.

This role requires experience within the pharmaceutical industry, along with knowledge of GDP and/or SAP, and familiarity with customs clearance procedures, documentation, and the handling of dangerous goods shipments. 

A proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management is essential, as well as strong experience using ERP systems and procurement tools.
