Accounts Clerk/ Credit Control

GCS Malta is looking for an Accounts Clerk/ Credit Control to work with a leading retail company in Malta. 
 

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger entries 
• Monitoring outstanding balances and following up with customers to ensure timely collections 
• Processing invoices, payments, and receipts, and reconciling customer and bank accounts 
• Assisting with month-end and year-end processes, including reporting and reconciliations 
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, payroll activities, and compliance with local regulations 
• Organising financial documentation and assisting with audits and internal controls 

The ideal candidate should hold a qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (such as Diploma, AAT, Degree, or equivalent), although this is not essential. A minimum of 1 year’s experience in an accounting, finance, or credit control role is required.

A basic understanding of accounting principles and local compliance requirements is required, while experience within a Maltese company environment will be considered an asset. The role calls for a proactive individual who can work both independently and as part of a team.

Fluency in English is essential, whilst Maltese is highly desirable.
