GCS Malta is looking for a Sales & Design Engineer (Mechanical) to work with leading contracting company in Malta.
The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, whilst proven experience in HVAC, air conditioning, building services or mechanical systems design is considered an asset.
Candidates should have experience with design software (e.g., AutoCAD or Revit) and a background in tendering, BOQ analysis, and technical submissions. Strong commercial awareness, communication skills, and the ability to interpret technical documents are essential, along with good organization and time management. A solid understanding of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics, including system sizing and HVAC design, is required.
Proficiency in using Microsoft office and quotation/CRM systems is essential.

Responsibilities
- Managing new client enquiries and providing technically sound guidance
- Sizing and proposing suitable systems for efficiency, compliance, and performance
- Designing HVAC, heat pump, ventilation, and underfloor heating systems
- Preparing technical submissions, tenders, and cost estimates
- Generating accurate quotations and proposals
- Developing new business and maintaining client relationships
- Providing technical support and follow-up to ensure client satisfaction
- Representing the company with professionalism and technical expertise
- Participating in ongoing technical training
- Aligning all duties with company objectives and client needs
- Maintaining targets for enquiries, quotations, and contracts
- Keeping technical documentation, supplier data, and pricing up to date
- Evaluating system performance, feasibility, and cost-efficiency
- Always ensuring professional image and technical credibility
- Submitting accurate and timely tender documents
- Coordinating with internal teams for smooth project execution
- Monitoring orders, submissions, and project timelines and updating clients
- Maintaining and updating the client database
- Preparing reports following client meetings
