Fixed & IP Networks Manager

GCS Malta is looking for a Fixed & IP Network Manager to work with one of Malta’s leading service providers.
 

Responsibilities

• Leading the design, implementation, and operation of IP network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls 
• Overseeing IP core network elements supporting mobile, fixed, and corporate services 
• Ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient connectivity across internal and external networks 
• Driving network performance, availability, scalability, and resilience while minimising downtime 
• Ensuring compliance with security standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements 
• Managing daily operations of the IP Networks team, including planning, coaching, and performance management 
• Collaborating with internal teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver effective solutions 
• Managing budgets, setting objectives, and monitoring KPIs for efficiency and performance 
• Staying updated on emerging technologies to support continuous improvement 

The ideal candidate should possess an MQF Level 6 qualification in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role within a network or telecommunications environment considered an asset.

This role requires strong technical expertise in IP networking, including routing, switching, firewalls, and fixed access technologies, along with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop technical teams.

Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with strong project management abilities.
