GCS Malta is looking for an Electrical Cost Estimator to work with leading building-services company in Malta.
The selected candidate should hold a Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related field, whilst proven experience as an Electrical Estimator or Cost Estimator, preferably within the Maltese construction or electrical contracting industry.
This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and installations, as well as local Maltese regulations. A solid knowledge of cost estimation techniques and project budgeting is essential, along with familiarity with the local construction industry, including suppliers, subcontractors, and the regulatory environment in Malta.
Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills with a high attention to detail are essential. Proficiency in estimation software and strong computer skills including Excel is needed.

Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical systems, including materials, labour, and equipment.
- Developing detailed and compliant bids based on project scope, specifications, and risks.
- Performing cost analysis and value engineering to improve cost efficiency.
- Supporting project budget development with project managers.
- Collaborating with engineers, project managers, and clients on project requirements and scope changes.
- Managing multiple cost estimates across different projects simultaneously.
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and maintain cost databases.
- Identifying project risks and applying appropriate contingency allowances.
- Ensuring all estimates comply with Maltese regulations, building codes, and H&S standards.
- Maintaining organised documentation of estimates, bids, and related project records.
