GCS Malta is looking for a Retail Division Manager to work with one of Malta's leading FMCCG companies. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership and direction to the retail division, ensuring clear objectives and strong execution.
  • Building, leading, and developing a high-performing team, including performance management and training.
  • Resolving internal conflicts and promoting a positive, accountable, and collaborative culture.
  • Collaborating with other departments to achieve company-wide goals.
  • Taking responsibility for revenue, profitability, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Monitoring financial performance, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring credit control.
  • Driving margin improvement through pricing and cost optimization.
  • Identifying and developing new revenue opportunities.
  • Managing key client accounts and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Negotiating commercial terms and ensuring compliant, well-structured agreements.
  • Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and service standards.
  • Overseeing stock management, availability, turnover, and shrinkage control.
  • Ensuring efficient operations and continuous process improvement.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Identifying market trends and implementing strategies to grow market share and retention.
  • Leading sales and promotional initiatives to drive growth.
  • Executing strategic initiatives and supporting alignment with marketing activities.
  • Reporting on performance to senior management and supporting ad hoc business needs.
  • Continuously reviewing and improving divisional performance.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience in retail management or in a similar role. 

One must have proven ability to drive sales growth, profitability, and market share, with hands-on experience managing budgets, P&L responsibility, and overall financial performance. Demonstrated capability to lead, coach, and develop large and diverse teams across multiple locations. Strong knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising and inventory management.

Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills is essential.
