GCS Malta is looking for a Finance & Treasury Executive to work with one of Malta’s leading financial institutions. The chosen candidate will be reporting directly to the CFO.
The selected candidate should hold a Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field, along with at least 3-5 years of experience in audit and accounting roles, preferably with a Big 4/ Top 5 firm.
One must possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliation processes, with experience in financial records, payment processing, and reporting. Additionally, experience auditing financial institutions, payment companies, or fintech organisations is highly desirable, along with exposure to regulated environments. Familiarity with payment platforms, banking integrations, or broader fintech operations would also be advantageous.
Candidates must have a proven ability to manage reconciliations between banking institutions and payment platforms accurately and efficiently. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with a proactive mindset and high attention to detail is essential.

Responsibilities
- Executing treasury operations, including funding, internal transfers, and daily liquidity management.
- Reconciling payment platforms with bank accounts and resolving discrepancies.
- Supporting financial and regulatory reporting, including quarterly reporting cycles.
- Processing invoices and payments in line with internal controls.
- Supporting month-end close activities, including reconciliations and schedules.
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and regulatory submissions.
- Developing and maintaining automated, scalable reconciliation and finance workflows.
- Continuously improving finance processes to enhance scalability, control, and efficiency.
