GCS Malta is seeking a Head of Compliance to work with one of Malta’s leading financial companies.
The selected candidate must hold a degree in Law or a related discipline, together with a professional qualification in compliance, finance, or a related field, whilst a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar compliance role within the financial services sector is considered an asset.
This role requires strong working knowledge of applicable legislation and regulatory frameworks. Candidates must possess strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach, and work effectively as part of a team.
Fluency in both written and verbal English is required.

GCS Malta is seeking a Head of Compliance to work with one of Malta’s leading financial companies.
Responsibilities
- Implementing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures, manuals, and checklists in line with regulatory and Group requirements
- Maintaining effective compliance diaries
- Carrying out tasks arising from compliance monitoring programmes
- Supporting employees with regulatory, compliance, and AML/CFT queries
- Preparing reports for Boards and Compliance Committees
- Addressing regulatory issues and interpreting applicable legislation and regulations
- Assisting the MLRO with AML/CFT matters and ad hoc requirements
- Assisting with the Annual Compliance Report submission to the FIAU
- Supporting employees on Data Protection and GDPR matters
- Monitoring ongoing compliance with GDPR obligations
- Promoting a strong compliance culture across the organisation
- Supporting management with external compliance services provided to clients
