Job Description

GCS Malta is looking for a Workplace & Infrastructure Engineer to work with one of Malta’s leading insurance group of companies. The chosen candidate will be reporting directly to the Head of Enterprise Architecture & Infrastructure.
The selected candidate will hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science or related field, with ITIL Foundation, MCSA and CCNA, and at least five years’ experience in IT support or systems administration, preferably in a large corporate or insurance environment.
Strong Windows troubleshooting skills and good knowledge of Microsoft 365, endpoint management, networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi) and telephony are required, whilst experience with scripting and automation would be considered an asset.
A proactive leadership mindset, supported by strong communication and customer service skills, is essential.

Responsibilities
- Leading Level 2 support operations, handling escalations, and guiding first-line teams
- Ensuring timely resolution of IT issues within SLAs and maintaining a positive user experience
- Managing the workplace environment for performance, reliability, usability, and continuous improvement
- Maintaining security and compliance in line with corporate standards
- Managing IT asset lifecycle, including inventory, deployment, configuration, upgrades, and disposal with accurate records
- Supporting and monitoring LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and telephony infrastructure, proactively addressing issues
- Coordinating infrastructure changes, upgrades, and deployments with engineering and architecture teams
- Maintaining accurate technical documentation and enforcing standard procedures
- Driving process standardisation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
