GCS Malta is looking for a Senior IT Data Architect to work with one of Malta’s leading insurance group of companies. The chosen candidate will be reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer.
The selected candidate will hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science or related field, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in data architecture, data modelling or enterprise architecture.
Candidates should have strong expertise in data modelling, semantic layers, and governed metrics for BI platforms, with experience in Apache Airflow, Snowflake, and Snowpipe Streaming, along with cloud cost optimisation and FinOps practices.
A proactive leadership mindset, supported by strong communication skills and innovative thinking, is essential.

Responsibilities
- Defining enterprise data architecture, standards, and scalable cloud designs
- Designing data models, CDC pipelines, streaming, and orchestration frameworks
- Ensuring GDPR compliance, governance, lineage, auditability, and access controls
- Managing MDM integration, entity resolution, and golden-record processes
- Establishing DataOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated data quality controls
- Enabling scalable API-driven and domain-oriented data solutions
- Translating business needs into sustainable architecture roadmaps
- Supporting stakeholders with technical guidance and future-ready strategies
- Ensuring platform resilience, security, scalability, and AI readiness
