GCS Malta is seeking a Fund Accounting Assistant Manager to work with one of Malta’s leading financial companies.
The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Accountancy, Banking and Finance, or an ACCA qualification, and have at least 5 years of experience in fund administration, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
A strong understanding of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards is required, whilst familiarity with PFS Paxus would be considered an advantage.
Candidates should possess strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, along with excellent administrative and business support capabilities, and the ability to remain composed and effective under pressure.

GCS Malta is seeking a Fund Accounting Assistant Manager to work with one of Malta’s leading financial companies.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the pre-launch activities for new client fund structures, including fund setup and operational procedure reviews ahead of onboarding.
- Maintaining and applying strong internal controls to ensure the delivery of accurate, complete, and timely fund administration services.
- Performing detailed reviews of NAV calculations and validating fund valuations across client portfolios.
- Tracking and checking fund expense allocations, including management and performance fees, ensuring correctness and compliance.
- Coordinating with external auditors and assisting in the preparation and review of annual financial statements.
- Contributing to statutory and regulatory reporting processes, including CBM returns, Annex IV reporting, annual returns, and other required submissions.
- Ensuring all regulatory reporting is completed and submitted within established deadlines.
- Overseeing administration fee billing processes and following up on outstanding receivables.
- Assisting the Team Manager in the day-to-day coordination of a Fund Accounting team, including monitoring task completion, supporting timely delivery, and driving performance through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
