GCS Malta is looking for a Purchasing Executive to work with one of Malta's leading FMCCG companies. The chosen candidate will be reporting to the Commercial & Supply Chain Manager and Senior Purchasing Executive.
The ideal candidate should have prior experience in purchasing, with experience in ERP systems and Power BI considered an asset.
Applicants must have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships. Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills are essential.
Fluency in both written and spoken English is required, while knowledge of Maltese and Italian would be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities
- Analysing data to support inventory planning and forecasting schedules
- Maintaining appropriate stock levels through effective planning and monitoring
- Liaising with internal teams to review stock, sales, financial, and warehouse capacity data
- Raising and tracking purchase orders with suppliers
- Coordinating inbound shipments with logistics teams
- Ensuring import activities comply with EU and local regulations
- Coordinating product labelling requirements with warehousing and logistics teams
- Matching goods received against purchase orders and invoices
- Maintaining supplier evaluation records and total cost of ownership analysis
- Creating and updating stock records and product information
- Maintaining product documentation and image databases
- Supporting purchasing team coordination and training activities
- Assisting in supplier discussions on pricing and payment terms
- Monitoring and reporting supplier performance KPIs
- Preparing operational reports for management
- Supporting supply chain operations and performing ad hoc duties as required
