GCS Malta is looking for a Logistics Officer to work with one of Malta's leading FMCCG companies. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Managing end-to-end import and logistics operations
  • Supervising logistics staff, training, and performance monitoring
  • Coordinating shipments with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities
  • Overseeing shipping, customs, and compliance documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with import, customs, EMCS, Intrastat, and labelling regulations
  • Maintaining ERP data, logistics records, and filing systems
  • Monitoring KPIs, shipment costs, and process improvements
  • Resolving shipment and customs-related issues
  • Preparing logistics reports and supporting supply chain operations
  • Assisting with logistics projects, system improvements, and other duties as required by management

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in logistics, importation, supply chain, or freight coordination, ideally gained within FMCG or other fast-paced environments.

Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, customs procedures, import processes, logistics operations, and regulatory requirements such as Intrastat, EMCS, and customs compliance is essential. Experience with ERP systems is required, while familiarity with Eyesel is considered an asset. Candidates should possess excellent organisational, administrative, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is essential, along with a valid driving licence. Fluency in written and spoken English is required, while knowledge of Maltese would be considered an asset.
