GCS Malta is seeking to recruit a Senior Associate - National Coordination to work with a local public agency.
The ideal candidate should hold an MQF Level 6 qualification in law, audit, accounting, economics, financial services or a related subject with at least 4 years’ experience relevant to this post OR an MQF Level 5 qualification with 5 years' experience.
Applicants should have a strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations in Malta, including EU legislation and international standards. The ideal candidate should be able to manage priorities, handle escalations, and support strategic decision-making, while also demonstrating strong analytical and report writing skills. Experience in policy, quality assurance, audit, or project management would be considered an asset.
Proficiency in both written and verbal English is required.

Responsibilities
- Supporting the implementation of national coordination and supervisory activities
- Assisting with team operations, strategic alignment, and resource efficiency
- Monitoring deliverables, quality, and timelines
- Coordinating AMLD/AMLR and EU-level developments
- Supporting cooperation on joint supervisory inspections and activities
- Contributing to local and international evaluations and assessments
- Coordinating internal and cross-functional deliverables
- Supporting national risk assessments and coordination initiatives
- Guiding teams on priorities, deadlines, and workstreams
- Liaising with authorities and key stakeholders
- Representing the organisation at meetings, workshops, and fora
- Supporting ad hoc and cross-functional projects
- Providing training and updating internal procedures and practices
