GCS Malta is looking for a Semi Senior - Audit & Assurance to work with one of Malta’s leading accounting firms.
The selected candidate should be ACCA qualified or working towards completion of the qualification, whilst a minimum of 2 years’ relevant auditing experience will be considered an asset.
A strong understanding of current auditing techniques and sound knowledge of GAPSME, IFRS, and International Auditing Standards are essential. The ideal candidate should possess strong organisational and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential, as well as proficiency in using Microsoft office applications.

Responsibilities
- Supporting the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements
- Communicating with clients to collect necessary audit information and evidence
- Conducting audit procedures such as control testing, substantive testing, analytical reviews, and documentation of working papers
- Detecting and recording internal control deficiencies and recommending improvements to processes
- Maintaining and strengthening client relationships
- Compiling detailed audit working papers and accurately recording findings
- Assisting the Audit Manager by providing regular progress updates and raising key issues
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements in compliance with GAPSME and IFRS standards
