GCS Malta is looking for an Finance Lead to work with one of Malta's leading educational companies, within a leading group. The chosen candidate will be reporting directly to the CEO.
The ideal candidate should be ACCA qualified or part qualified or hold an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting role.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems is required, with experience in Microsoft Navision or Business Central considered an advantage.
This role requires strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills, alongside strong organisational and communication skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
- Overseeing daily finance operations including postings, reconciliations, and AP/AR processing
- Maintaining general ledger accuracy, documentation, and audit readiness
- Coordinating payroll inputs and cost allocation
- Managing month-end close and preparing management accounts with variance analysis
- Supporting budgeting and rolling cash flow forecasts with risk monitoring
- Implementing financial controls, approvals, and payment processes
- Managing billing, invoicing, and collections to ensure timely cash recovery
- Liaising with external advisors to support compliance, audit, and tax requirements
- Preparing finance dashboards covering cash flow, forecasts, and key risks
- Escalating key financial and compliance issues to senior management
