Production Designer (Joinery and Steel)

GCS Malta is seeking a Production Designer (Joinery and Steel) to work with one of Malta's leading construction companies. 
 

Responsibilities

• Preparing workshop, fabrication, and installation drawings for joinery, carpentry, steel, and metal works
• Converting architectural drawings and client requirements into production-ready documentation
• Creating 2D/3D models, assembly drawings, and technical details
• Conducting site surveys, measurements, and identifying installation constraints
• Preparing material take-offs, cutting lists, and production schedules
• Supporting workshop and site teams with technical guidance and issue resolution
• Coordinating with procurement, project, and site teams on materials and installation planning
• Managing drawing revisions, approvals, and documentation control
• Ensuring compliance with company standards and project requirements
• Maintaining project documentation, logs, and SharePoint records

The ideal candidate must hold a degree in Architectural Design or a related field and have 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.

Applicants must demonstrate strong attention to detail and creativity, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in relevant design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, is essential.
