GCS Malta is looking for an Accountant to work with one of Malta's leading construction and development companies. 
 

Responsibilities

• Keeping complete accounting records through Xero or equivalent systems 
• Compiling monthly management accounts and performance reports 
• Developing and updating cash flow forecasts, particularly for construction operations 
• Reviewing and tracking overall financial performance and business profitability 
• Assisting directors with financial analysis and decision-making support 
• Monitoring and controlling project and site costs on an ongoing basis 
• Collaborating with Quantity Surveyors and site teams to oversee project financial performance, including budget compliance, contract variations, and margin analysis per project 
• Flagging and investigating potential cost overruns at an early stage 
• Allocating costs accurately across labour, materials, and subcontractor services

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in construction or a similar project-based environment, with strong knowledge of job costing, cash flow control, and supplier/subcontractor payments.

Applicants will be expected to contribute proactively to day-to-day operations, strengthen financial insight across projects, and ensure effective oversight of cost control and profitability outcomes.

This role requires strong organisation, clear communication, discretion, and the ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
