GCS Malta is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work with a leading building-services company in Malta. The selected candidate will report directly to the Head of Projects and the COO.
 

Responsibilities

• Preparing bills of quantities based on site measurements and completed works.
• Tracking variations, extra works, and claimable items, and preparing monthly payment applications with full supporting documentation.
• Liaising with clients and consultants to follow up on approvals and payment certificates.
• Coordinating with internal departments (accounts, estimating, and site teams) to ensure accurate claims, invoicing, and documentation.
• Measuring completed works and carrying out quantity take-offs using CAD, Bluebeam, and PDF software.
• Monitoring material deliveries to site and maintaining accurate records.
• Organising project files, scheduling site visits, and managing workload to meet deadlines.
• Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management and ISO 14001 Environmental Management standards across all project documentation and processes.
• Adhering to company policies, procedures, and legal requirements while maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and professional working environment.
• Complying with health and safety regulations, using required PPE, and reporting hazards, unsafe conditions, or incidents immediately

The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma and has over five years of experience in a similar role.

This role requires proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of CAD, BIM, and contracting practices is also essential.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are required, along with the ability to interpret technical information and work accurately under pressure.
