GCS Malta is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the team at one of Malta's top 5* Hotels. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Senior Quantity Surveyor.
 

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with quantity take-offs, measurements, and verification against drawings and site conditions
  • Supporting preparation of Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, and pricing schedules
  • Monitoring project costs, budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
  • Reviewing interim valuations, payment applications, and supporting payment documentation
  • Recording and tracking variations, including pricing and financial impact assessment
  • Supporting contract administration, including registers, records, and correspondence
  • Assisting with procurement activities, tender documentation, and commercial comparisons
  • Attending site visits and meetings to verify progress and completed works
  • Maintaining commercial records, reports, and documentation systems
  • Liaising with project stakeholders including QS teams, contractors, and client representatives

The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree or technical qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or Commercial Management, with 1–3 years’ experience in the field.

Applicants should have knowledge of measurement principles, construction technology, and basic construction contracts and commercial procedures. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, with strong numerical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
