GCS Malta is seeking a Cost Control Manager to join the team at one of Malta's top 5* Hotels. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Commercial Management or a related field, with extensive proven experience in quantity surveying and commercial management.
This role requires experience in luxury hospitality or high-end commercial projects, strong knowledge of MEP, civil, structural and fit-out works, and proven experience with FIDIC or similar contracts.
Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving skills, and financial acumen are essential.

Responsibilities
- Leading commercial and quantity surveying activities across the project lifecycle
- Developing and implementing commercial management strategies, procedures, and controls
- Managing project budgets, cost plans, forecasts, and financial reporting
- Monitoring expenditure, commitments, and cost-to-complete positions
- Overseeing quantity surveying activities, including valuations and measurements
- Reviewing payment applications, interim valuations, and final accounts
- Administering contracts and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
- Managing variations, change control, and assessing financial impacts
- Evaluating claims, negotiating settlements, and supporting dispute avoidance
- Supporting procurement activities, including tender analysis and contract awards
- Preparing monthly commercial reports, forecasts, and financial dashboards
- Identifying and managing commercial, contractual, and financial risks
- Liaising with project stakeholders to provide commercial advice and support
- Ensuring governance, compliance, and accurate financial record keeping
