GCS Malta Is looking for a SHE Site Lead to work with one of the leading pharmaceutical companies. The chosen candidate will be reporting directly to the Head of Engineering.
The ideal candidate holds an MQF Level 6 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry or a related field and a Diploma in Health and Safety (OHSA-recognised).
Prior SHE leadership experience in pharmaceutical or manufacturing environments, preferably in ATEX-regulated settings, is required, along with strong knowledge of Maltese legislation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with Maltese health, safety, and environmental legislation, including OHSA, ERA, and ATEX requirements.
- Acting as Competent Person under Maltese occupational health and safety law.
- Leading SHE risk assessments, including hazardous substances (REACH/CLP), ATEX zoning, and process safety risks.
- Driving SHE strategy, policies, training, and audit implementation.
- Promoting a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, communication, and accountability.
- Leading SHE initiatives in sustainability, waste management, energy efficiency, and emergency response planning.
