GCS Malta is looking for a Head of Technicians (HVAC) to work with one of Malta’s leading solar energy companies. The chosen candidate will be reporting directly to the Head of Business Development. 
 

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating HVAC technicians across multiple sites and projects
• Planning and allocating daily/weekly workloads for efficient delivery
• Overseeing installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems to standards
• Conducting site visits to monitor quality, safety, and progress
• Acting as escalation point for technical and client issues
• Training, mentoring, and developing technicians
• Liaising with project managers, sales teams, and clients
• Ensuring health and safety compliance across all works
• Managing tools, parts, and equipment stock levels
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
• Preparing reports and technical documentation
• Driving continuous process and service improvement

The ideal candidate should hold a relevant technical qualification (HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration, or related), with 5+ years’ HVAC installation experience and 2+ years in a supervisory role.

This role demands strong organisational and leadership abilities, with effective problem-solving skills and sound decision-making under pressure.

Excellent written and spoken Maltese and English skills are required, along with a valid driving licence.
