GCS Malta is looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist to work with a leading bank in Malta.
The ideal candidate should hold an MQF Level 5 qualification in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in an IT environment.
Experience with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection solutions, will be considered an asset.
A proactive, hands-on approach, with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and operate with minimal supervision, is essential for this role.

Responsibilities
- Monitoring and analysing cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and security incidents
- Supporting incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and recovery
- Identifying, assessing, and tracking vulnerabilities through remediation
- Performing security assessments, control testing, and risk analysis
- Reviewing security alerts, logs, and threat intelligence to support investigations
- Assisting with cybersecurity architecture reviews and technology risk assessments
- Identifying security gaps and recommending remediation actions
- Maintaining cybersecurity documentation, records, and compliance evidence
- Collaborating with IT, infrastructure, cloud, and business teams to strengthen security posture
- Supporting the improvement and operation of cybersecurity tools and processes
- Conducting root cause analysis and contributing to preventive security measures
- Preparing cybersecurity reports on incidents, risks, vulnerabilities, and remediation progress
- Keeping updated on emerging threats, security trends, and industry best practices
- Ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
