Assistant Production Manager

GCS Malta is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to work with an international pharmaceutical company. The chosen candidate will be reporting directly to the Production Manager. 
 

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Production Manager in daily production operations and ensuring efficient workflow. 
• Coordinating production activities, personnel allocation, and manufacturing schedules to meet delivery targets. 
• Managing production processes, including material preparation, in-process controls, and batch documentation. 
• Ensuring compliance with cGMP, EU GMP, FDA standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements. 
• Preparing, reviewing, and updating SOPs, manufacturing records, and production documentation. 
• Monitoring deviations, CAPAs, validations, and process improvements. 
• Supporting troubleshooting activities and optimising manufacturing processes. 
• Collaborating with QA, R&D, QC, and other departments on production and validation activities. 
• Training and supervising production personnel to ensure competency and compliance. 
• Ensuring safe working practices, proper PPE use, and adherence to health and safety requirements. 
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives and achieving departmental KPIs.

Candidates must hold a STEM-related or Pharmacy Degree (or equivalent) with at least 4 years of GMP pharmaceutical experience.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organisation, communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

A high level of self-motivation and keen attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
