GCS Malta is seeking to recruit a Motor Underwriting Manager to join one of Malta's leading insurance companies.
 

Responsibilities

• Overseeing Motor Underwriting operations and complex risk assessments.
• Monitoring portfolio performance, profitability and growth.
• Ensuring underwriting quality, governance and regulatory compliance.
• Managing broker, intermediary and business relationships.
• Preparing portfolio and performance reports for senior management.
• Improving underwriting systems, processes and operational efficiency.
• Reviewing claims trends and identifying risk improvement opportunities.
• Leading, coaching and developing the underwriting team.
• Supporting product development and strategic business initiatives.
• Monitoring market trends and regulatory developments.

Candidates should preferably hold or be working towards an ACII qualification, with extensive Motor Insurance experience and at least 3 years’ supervisory experience

Strong communication, negotiation and decision-making skills are essential, together with the ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Fluency in Maltese and English is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
