The ideal candidate will be a warranted Advocate, with previous experience in banking, finance, corporate finance, financial services, or transactional work considered an asset.
Strong commercial awareness, together with a solid foundation in corporate and civil law, is essential for this role.
Candidates should demonstrate a proactive mindset, strong teamwork, and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required.

GCS Malta is seeking to recruit an Associate (Lawyer) – Banking & Finance to work with a leading multi-disciplinary law firm in Malta.
Responsibilities
- Handling banking and finance transactions, including lender- and borrower-side matters.
- Advising on corporate, project and asset finance transactions.
- Preparing and reviewing security arrangements, financing documentation and legal opinions.
- Conducting due diligence and supporting refinancing and transactional matters while providing legal advice to clients.
- Liaising with clients, financial institutions and other professional advisers.
- Monitoring developments in Maltese and EU legislation and regulation relevant to the finance sector.
