GCS Malta is seeking a Senior Client Accountant to join a leading corporate service provider in Malta.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of clients and maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Preparing and reviewing management accounts and presenting financial insights to clients.
• Liaising with auditors and supporting audit readiness.
• Preparing budgets and forecasts to support clients’ financial planning.
• Reviewing VAT returns and payroll computations for accuracy and compliance.
• Analysing financial data and preparing reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members while coordinating workflows.
• Identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency and client service.
• Advising clients on financial and operational matters and providing practical solutions.
• Monitoring regulatory changes to ensure accurate and compliant client advice.

The ideal candidate should hold a Master’s in Accountancy or ACCA (completed or near completion), with 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the Maltese market. 

This role requires a solid understanding of Maltese accounting standards, VAT and tax regulations, proficiency with accounting software such as Xero and strong Microsoft Excel skills. 

Strong organisational and interpersonal skills are essential, together with the ability to prioritise competing client needs, solve problems proactively and maintain clear, professional communication.
