GCS Malta is looking for a Senior Claims Executive to work with one of Malta’s leading insurance group of companies.

Responsibilities

• Assessing complex, high-value claims against policy terms and conditions.
• Managing claims from notification through to settlement.
• Advising policyholders and stakeholders on complex or contentious claims.
• Escalating technical, legal, regulatory, fraud, and service issues.
• Negotiating fair settlements within delegated authority.
• Investigating complex claims and identifying fraud or coverage concerns.
• Liaising with legal and technical specialists to progress claims.
• Reviewing claim reserves and controlling costs.
• Handling complaints and resolving escalated customer concerns.
• Supporting quality assurance and consistent claims decisions.
• Coaching and mentoring junior claims handlers.
• Ensuring fair customer treatment and regulatory compliance.
• Improving claims processes, controls, and customer experience.
• Maintaining accurate records and preparing management reports.

The ideal candidate should have a Diploma in Insurance or equivalent qualification, along with at least two years of experience in claims handling.

Strong expertise in personal lines claims handling, with proven ability to interpret policies and assess coverage, is essential for this role.

Candidates should demonstrate strong mentoring abilities, alongside excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Fluency in both English and Maltese is required.
