GCS Malta is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work with one of Malta’s leading solar energy companies.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Department Manager in coordinating ongoing projects.
• Conducting regular site visits and monitoring project progress.
• Preparing and managing materials, tools and equipment for site works.
• Maintaining accurate records of materials and tools used on site.
• Coordinating with suppliers regarding orders, designs and technical requirements.
• Attending project and coordination meetings as required.
• Liaising with engineers, architects, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and project performance.
• Monitoring compliance with performance, quality, cost and safety standards.
• Measuring project performance against agreed targets and recommending corrective actions.
• Preparing and managing project documentation and administrative requirements.
• Maintaining knowledge of service station software and hardware.
• Assisting maintenance teams and technicians with on-site works when required.
• Participating in training, conferences, events and factory visits locally and abroad.

The ideal candidate should hold a locally recognised Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with prior experience in engineering projects, preferably within the renewable energy or M&E sector.

Candidates should demonstrate sound judgement, attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and a strong focus on quality and compliance.

Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of Italian and Maltese would be considered an asset.
