GCS Malta is seeking to recruit an Engineering Technician to join an international pharmaceutical company.  The chosen candidate will be reporting directly to the Engineering Supervisor. 
 

Responsibilities

• Performing and documenting preventive maintenance on production equipment and utilities.
• Conducting and recording corrective maintenance interventions.
• Supporting the Engineering Supervisor in maintaining equipment functionality.
• Performing in-house equipment and utilities calibration.
• Supporting subcontracted technicians during calibration activities.
• Executing equipment qualification protocols.
• Supporting Production with equipment setup for production runs.
• Recording spare parts used during maintenance interventions.
• Ensuring mechanical and electrical safety features remain functional.
• Performing cutting and welding (hot work) as required.
• Maintaining clean, safe, and well-kept production, utility, and machinery areas.
• Supporting ongoing departmental projects.
• Assisting with routine plant pest control activities.

The ideal candidate should hold a relevant technical qualification and/ or an Electrical Licence A or B, with a minimum of two years’ experience in a Technician or similar role. Previous experience working within a GMP environment will be considered an asset.

Applicants should demonstrate a results-oriented approach, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Strong proficiency in English and a sound working knowledge of MS Office applications are essential for this role.
