Treasury Analyst

GCS Malta is looking for a Treasury Analyst to work with a leading bank in Malta. 
 

Responsibilities

• Supporting monthly ALCO reporting through data collection, analysis and recommendations
• Preparing credit analyses and internal ratings for investment exposures
• Reviewing Treasury policies and providing recommendations
• Analysing credit, liquidity, FX and interest rate positions
• Supporting the development and maintenance of interest rate risk models and systems
• Analysing Treasury asset performance, deposits, liquidity, capital and risk-weight trends
• Monitoring market and regulatory developments and assessing impacts on investment and funding strategy
• Supporting Treasury projects and regulatory initiatives
• Updating senior management on relevant market developments
• Managing departmental invoices, agreements and related records
• Managing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of work

The chosen candidate should have an MQF Level 5 or 6 qualification in Mathematics, Finance, Data Science or a related field, with relevant financial/investment experience. Coding and/or Power BI experience would be considered an asset.

One must be able to adapt to business needs and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

This role requires a strong sense of responsibility and commitment, with a willingness to stay continuously updated on relevant developments.
