GCS Malta is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work with a leading bank in Malta. 

 

Responsibilities

• Designing scalable and maintainable software architectures.
• Developing high-performance software solutions.
• Coordinating software support and maintenance activities.
• Implementing innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Engaging with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects.
• Following software development standards and processes.
• Leading technical delivery of critical projects.
• Presenting technical recommendations to stakeholders.
• Guiding technical decisions and driving innovation.
• Coaching engineers and encouraging continuous development.
• Maintaining 24/7 operational support and on-call coverage.

The ideal candidate must have at least five years of experience in software engineering or a related field and an MQF Level 6 qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Proven FLEXCUBE experience is essential, while software development certifications will be considered an asset.

Applicants must demonstrate strong leadership, responsibility, and commitment, alongside a proactive, hands-on approach. 

Confidence, assertiveness, and the ability to guide teams and achieve objectives are essential.
